Financial Planning for Surgical Procedures
A facility charge (Kansas Surgery & Recovery Center) is determined after each procedure. You, your doctor, or the insurance carrier can call us to obtain an estimate of the approximate cost in advance. You may expect to be billed separately for related services:
- Pre-admission testing (laboratory, x-ray, EKG)
- Your surgeon(s) services
- Anesthesiology services
- Pathology services
Insured Patients: We will bill your insurance carrier for your hospital charges. Please bring your insurance ID card with you on the day of surgery. Payment in full is expected within 30 days following your operation. On-line bill pay is available to patients with account balances through a secure website that will be e-mailed to you after your services. Patients with high deductible insurance plans should call the hospital for payment planning information.
Self Pay Patients: Call us about self-pay options regarding your elective surgery. Generally payment in full for the facility charge is required on the day service is rendered.
Acceptable forms of payment are cash, cashier's check, VISA/MC, or Discover
Financial Assistance: At Kansas Surgery & Recovery Center, patients will receive necessary medical care, and the care will never be based on ability to pay. We have trained staff available to discuss your individual needs. If you do not have insurance and/or will have difficulty in paying your portion of the bill, we will review your eligibility for financial assistance and assist you in making payment arrangements. The financial Assistance Application is available at no charge, both in person and via mail. It is also available on this website. Staff are available to assist over the phone (316-634-0090) Monday through Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm.
