Employees at Kansas Surgery & Recovery Center find their work challenging and rewarding. The following is a brief description of the various departments and requirements for job consideration:

Pre-Operative unit is open from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. RNs working on this unit must have critical care experience with ACLS certification.

Operating Room unit is open from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. RNs and scrub technicians working in the OR must have prior operating room experience and a current CPR card.

Post-Operative unit is open from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday through Friday. RNs working in this unit must have critical care experience and ACLS certification.

Inpatient unit is open twenty-four (24) hours per day three hundred and sixty-five (365) days per year. Employees typically work twelve (12) hour shifts on this unit. RNs, LPNs, and CNAs must have at least one year of experience in orthopedics, general surgery, or critical care. A current CPR card is required.

Imaging unit is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. ARRT and experience in MRI and/or CT is required.

Support departments such as the Business Office, Purchasing/Receiving, Maintenance, Bio-Med, and Housekeeping work varied hours to meet the needs of the hospital. Experience in a medical setting is required.
